Bats > Are good for the environment. > Are protected by Arizona laws. > Various breeds can live without water for 6 weeks. > Have established a roost spot, will return at that spot, year after year. > Can live in an established and suitable area for hundreds of years if the proper conditions hold.

Raccoons > Are highly intelligent. > Very curious and messy > Nocturnal (most active at night) mammals. > Can cause structural damage in search of food. > Live 2-3 years in the wild, however a they can live to 20 years in captivity.

Rattlesnakes > Mating takes place in spring and fall. > Females give birth to 4-8 young in August & September. > Adult females generally produce offspring every two to five years and can have up to 30 live young.

Skunks > Can spray their musk several times and with accuracy up to 10 feet. > They do bite and can carry rabies. > Removing Skunk Musk spray from pets: First rinse the eyes gently with clear water, bathe with a "No Tears" shampoo taking special care around the eyes, then rinse with clear water. Rinse the pet with tomato juice or a dilute solution of vinegar and water. If you take this extra step, you must then shampoo and rinse the pet again. This treatment may need to be repeated. You may use any over-the-counter eye drops as a final soothing eye treatment. If your pet was bitten by the skunk, take it immediately to your veterinarian.

Squirrels > An average lifespan is about 10 or 12 years. > Rock squirrels do not hibernate in winter. They are busy all year round. > Ground squirrels hibernate (sleep) during winter months from Oct to May. > Are smart and keen problem-solvers and can get into anything they can fit their head through.
